Hey thats my sand castle!

Matthew 7:24-27

How many of you know that building your house on Sand is not a good idea?

I remember when I was a child I would build sand castles at the beach. I loved building them close to the water and when the tide came in I would work really hard to try to divert the water until it was just too much, the water came crashing in and my castle was destroyed. To build a real house this way would be crazy.

We all have a choice in what we make the foundation of our life, Jesus here is stressing the importance of making Him and his teaching the foundation of yours, the fact is nothing else matches it. He is like what concrete foundations are to houses. When tough times come when it seems like your world is falling a part He is the only one that can hold you up.

I have experienced this first hand in my life, I wouldn’t change Jesus for anything else in the world.
